EXCELR8 We meet Friday Evenings from 6:30-9:30PM To EXCEL means that you DO WELL, SHINE, and STAND OUT. That is the motto of EXCELR8. R8 stands for Romans 8, which is the Biblical text we use as the foundation for this ministry. This ministry is geared for Sr. High School students, college age students, and career young adults - single or married. We meet on Friday evenings beginning at 6:30 for food, fun and fellowship. We have a pool table, ping-pong table, air hockey table, basketball hoops and a large field for football, soccer, or volleyball and even board and card games. At 7:30, we enjoy some live praise & worship music led by our Worship Pastor and EXCELR8 Praise Band, have a short Bible study/devotional, and then break into small groups by age. At around 8:30, we get back together for more fun, food, and fellowship. Our young adult leaders help lead the small group discussions and coordinate events for the entire group. Sometimes we get together on Saturday to play sports, do ministry projects, or other fun planned events. At least once a quarter, after Sunday worship, this group gets together to enjoy lunch and a movie at a local theater. There is something for every student or young adult in this venue! |
