Young@Heart NET Objective

“After this, I will pour my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.” (Joel 2:28)

As senior adults of OcalaFirst, we recognize the critical role we play in keeping alive the dream that God gave us for our church and the community around us and we agree that we will do everything in our power physically and spiritually to advance the dream in the generations we mentor inside and outside our fellowship.

Young@Heart NET Goals

We will accomplish the objective to advance the dream to our younger generations by actively engaging in fellowship (events, bible study and prayer) and in ministry.

Fellowship

“The disciples were devoted to the teachings of the apostles, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)

We will meet on a weekly basis to enjoy a meal together, share about our journey through life and in our faith, study the Word of God, and pray collectively for each other, our church, and the generations that will follow us. Young@Heart activities and trips will still be coordinated and made available to you so you can just have fun and experience things as a group outside of the church walls.

Meeting Times

The Young@Heart NET will meet on a weekly basis for fellowship. This meeting time will be each Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall Kitchen beginning on October 12, 2008 where we will share in a “pot luck” snack, share time, and a short devotional.

Active Ministry

“However, be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you don't forget the things which you have seen with your own eyes. Don't let them fade from your memory as long as you live. Teach them to your children and grandchildren.” (Deuteronomy 4:9)

We will endeavor to actively engage ourselves in ministry – inside and outside the church.
